At First Step, we believe that incorporating family and community into children's learning experience is an important component to children's overall learning and development

We believe providing these opportunities 

​

- Provides children with a sense of belonging and identity 

​

- Enhances children's ability to be a positive member in their community 

​

- Fosters a strong relationship between parents and First Step ​

​

To provide children at First Step with these  opportunities for further growth and learning, we offer ​

​

- Music Enrichment for children in the Toddler and Preschool Programs 

​

- Seasonal off-site field trips for children in the Preschool Program

 

- On site presentations from agencies in the community including the Watertown Police and Fire Departments, and Animal Adventures for children in the Toddler and Preschool Programs

- Seasonal family gatherings for all families at the center 

​
