Holidays & Inclement Weather Policy

The Center will be closing early on the following dates:
  • Day Before Thanksgiving: Close at 3PM 
  • Christmas Eve: Close at 12 PM 
  • New Year's Eve: Close at 12 PM

The Center will be closed on the following dates:

  • Labor Day

  • Indigenous People's Day

  • Veterans Day

  • Thanksgiving Day and the Following Day 

  • Christmas Day and the Following Day 

  • New Years Day 

  • Patriots' Day

  • Memorial Day

  • Independence Day

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day 

  • Presidents' Day

  • Juneteenth

Inclement Weather Policy

First Step follows the Watertown Public School system in regards to closings and delays for inclement weather. ​

First Step will communicate about closings and delays through email, which will be sent no later than 5AM, day of closing.

​

In cases where holidays fall on a Tuesday or a Thursday, the center will be closed on the Monday before and the Friday after.
