First Step will provide all the children enrolled in the program with:

• two snacks per day (parents can also provide snacks from home),

• a cubby to keep the child’s belongings and a mat for rest time.

 

Parents can provide their own lunch or buy lunch at the center.

 

First Step is a peanut free zone do to high allergies and parents will be informed upon enrollment.

 

An allergy log will be posted in each classroom with all the children’s names and allergies if known.

 

Children with allergies will be monitored at all times during meals.

 

Teachers will always use disposable gloves to serve food.

 

All children and teachers will wash their hands before and after every meal.
